In mid-August 2021, Tine Holmboe will be taking over as the new CEO at Dissing+Weitling. The appointment will support the firm’s international growth and enhance its strategic focus.
Tine Holmboe has an MA in architecture from the Royal Danish Academy School of Architecture, she is a qualified building economist from Danske Byggeøkonomer, and she has an Executive Master in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, CBS. Tine has solid experience in project management and corporate governance, and in previous positions as the managing director and head of department, she has been responsible for contract management and business development at several Danish architectural firms.
Tine has also worked in Kenya, New York, Belgium and Switzerland, so she also has an international profile that matches Dissing+Weitling's global focus. Over the past three years, Tine has been close to managers and decision makers in the sector as the head of leadership at the Danish Association of Architectural Firms. Tine says:
- I’m looking forward to helping boost Dissing+Weitling’s strategic focus. I’ve worked a lot on implementing business-strategic initiatives in architectural firms, so I feel well-prepared for the job. I know all about the processes in an architectural firm, and I have a good sense of what’s going on in the sector in Denmark and internationally.
Besides her previous jobs at Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects and NORD Architects, Tine has in-depth knowledge about her future workplace.
I’ve always had great respect for Dissing+Weitling. Actually, ever since I worked there as an intern in 1994. And when a firm is as solid and has such great staying power as Dissing+Weitling, it’s humbling to be invited to return as the managing director. I’m most looking forward to getting to know all the staff. I’m aiming to invest a lot of time on this. After all, they’re the reason why Dissing+Weitling is so successful. And the icing on the cake is that I’m joining just now, as we celebrate 50 years since Arne Jacobsen transferred his firm. This is a legacy I take very seriously, and I feel enormously privileged to be a part of it.
Tine Holmboe replaces the current CEO and partner Steen Savery Trojaborg. After more than ten years as the CEO, he will continue his work as a partner and architect in the firm’s growing international mobility team.
