The agreement includes process management, design development, and societal analysis within mobility.
With this 4-year framework agreement, Dissing+Weitling continues its successful collaboration with the Swedish Transport Authority, enhancing its expertise to include consultancy on, among other things, station design, process management, design development, and societal analysis within mobility.
A total of 12 architecture and engineering firms competed for the 4-year framework agreement, which includes "innovation, investigation, and development tasks within the architecture of transport infrastructure."
In the coming years, Dissing+Weitling and Kragh Berglund will work in collaboration with Swedish transport authorities to achieve the goals of Trafikverket's Architecture Strategy and Architecture Program, focusing on the three main areas:
- Human- and landscape-oriented nature.
- Architecture as a driving force in societal development.
- Care- and knowledge-based architecture.
Long-Term Partnerships
The agreement supports Dissing+Weitling's expertise in long-term, trust-based partnerships, which a framework agreement naturally fosters:
- Trafikverket is a very important partner for us, so we are incredibly proud of this new collaboration. The Swedish authority is not only the most important and largest player in Swedish mobility but also an ambitious client who understands how to integrate infrastructure development with broader societal goals like social sustainability and climate transition, says Jesper Henriksen, head of Dissing+Weitling's mobility unit.
- This means that in Sweden, the focus is not only on transport needs but also on integrating infrastructure projects with social cohesion, positive experiences, and sustainable environments.
The awarding of the framework agreement strengthens Dissing+Weitling's position as an experienced advisor in the mobility field and the long-standing collaboration with Trafikverket, which is already a client for several of the firm's bridge and station projects.
- It aligns perfectly with our ambitions and expertise. We can leverage our international experience in stations, bridges, and other mobility projects to support Trafikverket.
