Danish Architecture Center is celebrating the UNESCO World Capital of Architecture, taking place in Copenhagen in 2023. Dissing+Weitling's world famous Bicycle Snake is part of the exhibition Copenhagen in Common.
The exhibition is designed to resemble a city, where visitors explore different neighborhoods reflected in the exhibition architecture: The Blue City, the Green City, the Dense City and the Diverse City.
The exhibition Copenhagen in Common examines what made Copenhagen an international success - from the quality of social housing and infrastructure, to cycling culture, urban green spaces and public involvement.
In Copenhagen, the Bicycle Snake is a concrete example how Dissing+Weitling contributes to site-specific urban development.
In addition to resolving practical urban challenges, such as when dense traffic meets vulnerable cyclists and pedestrians, the bridge also stimulates activity and life in the urban space.
The exhibition will run from May 5 to October 23, 2023.
