Glostrup Park Hotel's new and transformed area is 3,600 square meters and includes a new reception, a new conference center with 14 meeting rooms, a restaurant with room for 300 guests, a kitchen and 54 new rooms. The largest conference room accommodates 300 people.
Linking park and building
The new design has made the best possible use of the good location next to the city park by creating large windows in the meeting rooms, views to the gardens and covered terraces. A copper roof creates a light and open expression and the characterful high glass sections create a connection between the building and the cultivated landscape, which gently slopes towards the restaurant's large terrace and window section.
The conference center has its back to the traffic noise to the north and west. Here, the smaller window sections in the brick facade shield against the noise, and the facade gets a heavy and robust look.
Inside, guests encounter a bright and friendly atmosphere in the hotel lobby, which has skylights and large glass sections facing the terrace. From here there is access to the fireplace room, which is located at the entrance to the restaurant, as well as reception, lobby and flexible meeting rooms, which can be split into smaller group rooms. The interior is warm and tactile with the use of dark tile, Italian natural stone and large ash wood columns.
