  • At ECCO Conference Centre, the design manifests the leading shoe company's proud tradition of craftsmanship, caring for people and innovation. Dissing+Weitling has incorporated these values into all the architectural details of the building. At the same time, the building will profile the position of ECCO as an environmentally responsible front figure, as it is a plus-energy building; the building is self-sufficient in energy and it supplies surplus energy to the neighbouring building.

  • The floor plan of the building is circular, which provides the best area utilisation, with short distances inside the building and minimum heat loss due to the reduced surface area. The building uses geothermal heating and cooling as well as solar energy.

  • Materiality

Externally as well as internally, we have focused on letting the quality of materials and craftsmanship reveal themselves honestly and sensuously. We have developed elements such as light fixtures with hand-sewn leather, so that ECCO’s employees can add their own personal touch to the interior.
