At the same time, Dissing+Weitling secured projects under their own name, remaining loyal to the architectural ideals they had shared with Arne Jacobsen.
Throughout the years, the firm has upheld a modernist approach in its designs, adapting to varying functional requirements, surroundings, and forms.
Regarding the National Bank of Denmark, the crown jewel of Jacobsen’s office buildings, Dissing+Weitling draw upon experience from working on another Jacobsen-Weitling office building, the Hamburgische Elektricitäts-Werke (HEW) in Hamburg.
