The headquarters in Ørestad was designed with a strong focus on promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration among employees. The main architectural concept is inspired by Barcelona’s vibrant shopping street, La Rambla, interpreted as an atrium.
In the development of the headquarters, there has been a strong focus on energy consumption and indoor climate. Movement across spaces and floors
The main architectural concept is inspired by Barcelona’s vibrant shopping street, La Rambla, in the form of an atrium. The atrium brings the entire building together both horizontally and vertically through mezzanine floors and balconies, supporting a natural flow of movement throughout the building and between its eight floors—for both employees and visitors.
Acoustics have been a key focus in the headquarters, with the goal of creating a clear transition from the social common areas to the quieter office zones. Employees are seated in smaller zones - away from the building’s active flow, located along the facades to ensure everyone has access to views and natural daylight.
On the ground floor, a large central meeting and conference center has been established, which can be used independently of the building’s other activities. It is connected to the canteen, café, and foyer, and also includes an acoustically regulated auditorium with seating for 150 people.
In 2010, the building was shortlisted by WAN (World Architecture News) as one of the five best office buildings in the world.
