Working alongside COWI, Dissing+Weitling aims to ensure that the new fjord crossing blends seamlessly into Aalborg’s landscape and infrastructure.

  • The feasibility study includes, among other aspects, alignment options, intersecting roads, stormwater retention basins, potentially contaminated areas, and possible raw material zones.

    The studies help identify opportunities within the overall context, and—similar to the work carried out on the Øresund Link—part of the task for the Third Limfjord Crossing is to coordinate the architectural design of the entire connection. This includes the design of ramps, tunnel and portal structures, and noise barriers.

    Construction is expected to commence in 2027 and be completed in 2034.
