The Shenzhong Link has been awarded the 1st Prize for Large Infrastructure Projects — and, in addition, the Star Project Award at this year’s IABSE Awards.
Situated at the beautiful estuary of the Pearl River in south China, Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is a cross-sea cluster project with the world's largest offshore suspension bridge, the world's first eight lane undersea tunnel and interchange.
The enormous infrastructure project has just received a prestigious recognition for its exceptional contribution to engineering excellence.
Jesper Henriksen, CEO and Head of Mobility at Dissing+Weitling says:
- We are deeply honored to receive the IABSE Award — not just as a win, but as a recognition of what this project stands for. It demonstrates how architecture and engineering together can solve extreme technical challenges, create long-lasting value, and deliver resilient infrastructure through exceptional cross-disciplinary collaboration. Thank you to all our project partners — and thank you, IABSE!
The ShenZhong Link is a grand and complex mobility project stretching for 24 kilometres and connecting the coastal cities of Shenzhen and Zhongshan in southeast China.
