German-speaking architect for international bridge and infrastructure projects

Cykelslangen 36
August 6, 2026

We are looking for an experienced architect who is a native German speaker and fluent in spoken and written English to join our bridge and infrastructure projects in Germany.

  • You will become part of our Mobility team and play a key role in developing competition proposals at a high international level. Therefore, it is important that you have experience with German projects or have worked as an architect in Germany.

Experience with bridge architecture, railway stations, or other infrastructure projects is an advantage, but not essential. As part of a practice working across both architecture and mobility, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to building projects over time. We value flexibility and collaboration across disciplines.

    About You

You are a highly skilled architect with a strong ability to sketch and develop concepts, combined with a solid understanding of detailing. You transform creative ideas into well-founded design solutions that balance architectural quality with technical feasibility. You have a keen eye for detail and see collaboration and professional dialogue with colleagues as a natural part of the design process. You are committed, ambitious, and motivated by creating winning competition proposals. The role also involves business development activities, so experience with client acquisition or business development would be an advantage.

    We expect you to:

    • Hold a degree in Architecture.

    • Be a native German speaker and be fluent in spoken and written English.

    • Have experience developing competition concepts and strong design skills.

    • Have at least three years of professional experience in an architectural practice after graduation.

    • Be highly proficient in Rhino and Grasshopper.

    • Combine a structured approach with creativity.

    • Have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards your work.

    About Us

We offer a highly professional environment, a strong team culture, and a wide variety of projects. We design all types of bridges—in every kind of landscape and across much of the world—from the iconic Bicycle Snake (Cykelslangen) in Copenhagen to the recently completed Queen Margrethe II Bridge, as well as the award-winning Boorloo Bridge and Kangaroo Point Bridge in Australia.

In addition, we have a long tradition of designing and delivering headquarters, hotels, residential developments, and industrial architecture, as well as restoring and transforming the built cultural heritage.

We are an architectural practice of approximately 40 employees, based at Islands Brygge in Copenhagen. Our open, transformed studio provides an environment that encourages close professional collaboration, where architects from different disciplines and nationalities work together in a culture where emerging talents and experienced architects learn from one another.

Our practice has its roots in Arne Jacobsen's architectural studio, and we continue to build on this strong design heritage, which remains the foundation of our architectural approach.

    This is a full-time position.
