Dissing+Weitling’s renovation brings the Carlsberg Museum into the 21st century with a cutting-edge conference centre supported by a restaurant, lounge, and meeting rooms in a historic setting.
The Carlsberg Museum houses the unique history of the Carlsberg Brewery, under one roof with Carlsberg's daily reception and meeting facilities. The museum hosts a multiplicity of activities, and is used by local and international clients in large or intimate groups both day and night.
The restoration brings out the spirit of the brewery's founder, J.C. Jacobsen, in the listed building; The interiors have been returned to an historic palette which underlines the elegance of the rooms. The crafted floors, wall panelling, coffered ceilings, bas-relief and sculptures are united by the understated colour scheme. Modern furniture classics lend a contemporary note to the interiors. Their dark shades contrast well with the muted walls and terrazzo flooring.
