The six-storey, multi-flexible AB6 office building has soft transitions between the inside and outside, and between activity areas and recreation areas. The interior of the building is flexible and can be adapted to the needs of different tenants. Besides central stairs, the building has several cores with smaller stairways to allow for tenancies of different sizes.
The deep-cut cubic shape draws light and good views far into the building via atria, roof terraces and courtyards. The relatively complex building has plans that shift and change on each floor, making AB6 an interesting framework for a working day.
A green profile
The building is one of the first in Denmark to utilise an interactive, double-skin facade providing efficient temperature control, allowing maximum daylight and reducing energy consumption in the complex.
The facade also affords acoustic protection against traffic noise from the busy Amager Boulevard outside, and it adds a transparent, aesthetic quality to the building, combining glass and natural stone which harmonize with the surrounding buildings.
