  • In the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg, over the Rhine between the cities Hard and Fussach, a new bridge designed by Dissing+Weitling is under construction.

In cooperation with the consulting engineers Leonhardt, Andrä und Partner and Schimetta Consult Civil Engineers, we have designed a technologically advanced and sustainable bridge protecting against flooding and increasing mobility for bicyclists.

The bridge is an extradosed bridge with elegantly shaped steel pylons. It will be significantly wider than the existing one to create better facilities for both vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians. Now, up to 4,300 bicyclists per day in high seasons use the existing bridge.

Dissing+Weitling won the bridge competion in 2012.
